How Ideas Spread

How Ideas Spread

Kim Wilson, Joanna Ledgerwood, Rohini Roy and I just had the pleasure of visiting a savings group created by Nidan in Patna, India. During the whole meeting, a series of people came and looked in the window and door, some staying for a long time, others just glancing in for a few seconds.

People say that once savings groups are established in an area, it is a lot easier to form new ones. Naturally! People have already learned from their neighbors what they are and how they work.

I liked this picture because it showed so clearly the way a new idea was traveling out the window and into the community.
